As all years except COVID years, we come over to the very nice Olsberg / Sauerlandcarea for our autumn holidays . This is a very relaxed and inspiring location with excellent food and very good rooms. We love it.

First visit here for 6 years, and we really wondered why we had left it so long before going back. Room was spacious and both it and the corridor had obviously recently been newly carpeted, so recently it still smelt new. We used the half pension option and the food was fantastic, served in a timely (not necessarily quick) manner - please don't eat here if you want fast food; preparing and serving good food takes time! Staff are professional, UK establishments could really learn a lot about how to treat customers from the way the Pfannes family runs the Schinkenwirt. Lastly, there is probably no better time than October to visit this wonderful area, the autumn colours are fantastic and must surely give those of New England a run for their money! We'll be back, and hopefully in shorter order.

The hostess is a very friendly woman, Nothing is too much for her.The staff is excellent and helps everywhere. Food is tastfull and Made with most care. The rooms are not so big also the bathrooms but very clean. This hotel is a perfect place for people who likes too walk.
